Sand pump is a kind of centrifugal mud pump. It is used to transport suspension containing sand, slag, etc. The impeller is mostly open. The pump lining is generally divided into two types, wear-resistant metal box and wear-resistant rubber. When in use, high-pressure water is injected into the sliding part of the pump shaft to prevent mud and sand from entering the sliding part. It can be used for the transportation of coarse solids and liquids with a particle size of 48 mesh or more. The existing sand pump shaft seal structure is a combined seal, that is, the mechanical seal is the main one, and the packing seal is the auxiliary. The disadvantage is that excessive friction and wear in the sealing device seriously affect the sealing performance.
Sand pump mechanical seal refers to a device that is installed and operated in pump equipment to act as a dynamic seal to prevent the fluid medium in the pump volute from flowing out of the pump through the pump shaft.
