The mud desander is a device used to remove drill cuttings and sand from the mud in the mud purification system when the mud returns to the ground. It is a secondary separation device in the solid control system. Desanders are divided into cyclone desanders and cyclone desilters according to the size of the cyclone diameter. Generally, a cyclone combination of 6" or more is called a desander. Commonly used are 10" and 12" cyclones, which are mainly used to separate solid particles with a particle size of 47-76μm in the drilling fluid. So how is the effect of the mud desander?
