Drilling fluid desander, also known as hydrocyclone desander, is a secondary Solid-liquid Separation device in the drilling fluid solids control system, used to stabilize and regulate the drilling mud returned from the wellhead. The HCS series mud desanders produced by HL Petroleum are used in various drilling projects, mainly oil and gas field drilling, geothermal drilling, trenchless projects. The commonly used desander cyclone is 8'', 10'' and 12'' in size, to separate solid particles with a size of 44~74 microns in the drilling fluid.

What problems may occur during the use of desander cleaner? And the solutions.
1. How to deal with the string-like discharge of the desander bottom flow?
Check the top valve. If it is too small, open it appropriately;
Check whether the inlet pressure is too low;
Check whether the feeding centrifugal pump is working properly;
It may be that the viscosity of the drilling fluid is too high, reduce the viscosity of the drilling fluid.
2. What should you do if the mud desander has no bottom flow or too little bottom flow?
Check the tip. If it is blocked, remove the top valve and clean it;
Check whether there is vacuum in the overflow pipe. A vacuum regulator can be installed in the center of the overflow pipeline;
Check whether the viscosity of the drilling fluid is too high. If it is too high, the viscosity should be appropriately reduced.
3. How to deal with the low inlet pressure of the desander equipment?
Check the suction pipe of the supporting centrifugal pump. If there is sand accumulation, it should be cleaned;
Check whether the bearing seal sleeve is damaged.
4. The density of the desander bottom flow is approximately equal to the density of the inlet drilling fluid. How to deal with it?
This may be due to the fact that the opening of the tip bottom flow port is too small. The solution is to adjust the opening size of the tip bottom flow port to the opening size of the balance point.
